Your Practice Stays Yours

Privacy Policy

A quiet practice. A clear explanation.

Last updated: October 24, 2026 · Pre-release

iSmrti is an iPhone mindfulness app developed by Xu Zhangxuan. The app is in development and is not yet available on the App Store. This policy describes the current app design and this website.

Camera use stays on your iPhone

With your camera permission, iSmrti uses the front camera and Apple's Vision framework to check presence and visible head, shoulder, upper-body, and hand movement. A live preview helps you position yourself during preparation only. Meditation does not display camera images.

Camera frames and body or hand points are processed briefly in memory on your device. The app does not record, save, or upload photos, video, or pose sequences. It does not detect whether your eyes are open, track your gaze, infer emotions, or identify you. Stillness sensing is not identity verification or a measure of mindfulness.

Practice history and preferences

Completed practice records, practice goals, and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone. No iSmrti account or developer-operated cloud synchronization is required. Device backups may include local app data according to your Apple settings. You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app; manage backups separately in your Apple settings.

Permissions you control

You can revoke camera access in iOS Settings at any time. Camera-based verification cannot operate without it. Daily reminders use local notifications and require your permission. Motion sensor signals help the app recognize when the phone itself is moving; these signals are not uploaded.

No advertising or behavioral tracking

The app does not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics. Camera frames, body or hand points, and practice history are not sold or shared with advertisers.

This website

ismrti.com is a static informational website. It does not request camera access, run stillness detection, collect waitlist submissions, set analytics cookies, or use third-party analytics. Fonts and page assets are served with the site.

Hosting and DNS providers, GitHub Pages and Cloudflare, may process ordinary request information such as IP addresses and browser information to deliver and secure the website, according to their own policies. External links, including GitHub, are subject to the destination site's policies.

Questions and changes

For privacy questions, contact the developer through the developer's GitHub profile. This policy will be updated if the app's data handling changes before or after release.
